Donate Money

Financial contributions to recognized disaster relief organizations are the fastest, most flexible and most effective method of donating. Organizations on the ground know what items and quantities are needed, often buy in bulk with discounts and, if possible, purchase through businesses local to the disaster, which supports economic recovery.

Become Trained

Trained people in a disaster is beneficial to emergency management and to communities because they will know the specific activities that need to be done and will be able to do what needs to be done. There are a myriad of ways to become trained. Tooele Responds offers Community Emergency Response Training, Red Cross training, First Aid training, and other training dealing with disaster response and recovery.

Volunteer

There are many different roles Tooele Responds takes on in the process of a disaster event. Volunteers who are trained are needed the most but citizens who want to help are utilized too. It is important to have your name on the list so you can be called up for response and recovery.

Donate Blood

Often there are wounded people in a disaster. The need for blood becomes even greater during disaster. Donating blood helps even before disaster.

Donate In-kind Goods

Donated items are needed. Knowing what is needed, where it is needed, and getting it there at the right time is the key. Critical needs change rapidly. Before collecting, confirm the need.
